Jonathan, I am again working tirelessly in my secret laboratory on the "Climber's Respirator." I'm not sure there's a big market for them, though, but they will filter out both pepper spray and beta spray.

Reaching page 40 - that was good. I need a cigarette, but I don't smoke. What should I do?

That will be nice. I can't stand it when someone is spraying me with pepper spray and telling me how they did the route. That mask would be perfect for this.

You have reached 40!!!! You have earned a smoke!!!

I recommend rolling up a napkin and vigorously inhaling and blowing imaginary smoke rings. This works best in a restaurant.

Will smoking make me a better climber? Cooler, at least? Filters or non-filters? Regular or menthol? So many decisions, so much time...

I just tried adding a new comment to this thread, but it looks like forty pages is the max. It wouldn't accept my new comment. Is this the end?

This thread is doomed. Doomed, I tell you! I'd like to say it's been fun and I hope we can have our own class reunion, someday.

Smoking does make you better but only if used in cojunction with one liter of your least favorite beverage. How this works, I don't know.

I just bought a new rope. Smoking is not good for new ropes. You get butts on it and then it burns. Of course I just solo everything and carry a rope just for training purposes.

I heard that you should never lay your rope down on cigarette butts, because of the nicotine. Rope cancer. It has struck down many a good rope. One day, they're getting you up a climb, the next day they are wheezing on the approach. Terrible.

It's kind of funny but my rope actually climbs harder than me. Quite often it will beat me to the top of a climb. I get up there and it is stretched out in the sun. Shirt off of course.

The Double Down contains "bacon, two different kinds of melted cheese, the Colonel’s secret sauce... pinched in between two pieces of Original Recipe chicken fillets." KFC describes the Double Down as a "sandwich" although it does not have bread. KFC announced the Double Down in an April Fools' Day press release, and launched the item in the United States on April 12, 2010. (540 calories, 32g fat, 1,380mg sodium)

Elena, are you trying to steal last ascent honors on this thread from Danger-Russ Gordon? Can we get a shout-out from the OP? Greatest thread on any forum, hands down.
I've learned so much, I think I'm ready to trampoline solo Century Crack. It's been fun everyone.

Great photo of the Trampo-Solo in action, Lorenzo. However, due to the possibliity of cranio-facial injury, one should not utilize the trampoline underneath roofs. For the obvious reason...

Thanks guys, for creating the most entertaining thread on any forum I have ever seen, I had no idea that a Google search from my crappy phone could have spawned so many responses. In reviewing the thread, I can honestly say it represents a compilation of some of the most useful, and useless information ever compiled in one location on the internet. Thanks, its been fun.

If you slay a thread, and yet it lives...does it eat your brain?
