Found climbing rope - 40 - 50 miles west of Denver, North of I-70, South of Winterpark

Describe where and when you lost it, brand, color, length, diameter, and how you left it (i.e. coiled, piled up, butterflyed, laid out on ground/snow/rock, in a pack/bag, on a tarp) and it's yours.

Really don't want to use a found rope, so would really like to find the rightful owner who I'm sure would like to get it back.

If that's how you are going to locate the owner, just skip the post and keep it.

sorry if it's somewhat vague, but many people have access to the internet looking to claim lost items.

I'm sure in the area I described, there has not been been many missing ropes if any (other then this one).

I have no use for a rope that I have no idea of it's history, but I'm sure it has value to the owner.

If I wanted it I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of going through all the lost & found postings and posted on: CMC, summitpost.org, Mountainproject.com, rockclimbing.com, and craigslist.org

Simply name the climbing area and date it was found and make those who would claim it describe the color pattern and length/diameter.

I left it at Empire.

It was blueish, yellow, green.

Medium diameter.

Left outdoors.

Am I close?

Hey Greg D.,

Sorry to hear about your rope. I don't think the one I found is yours. I'm guessing the one in your photos is the one you lost.

Unless the rope you lost was a different color, and location.

Sincerely,

Aldo

I was just kidding on both posts. I thought it was obvious. Last year I guessed on a found cam and nailed it. I didn't accept it of course.

Personally, I would have at least posted the area I found the gear/rope. Maybe I just have too much faith in human kind to be honest.

Just send it to me, I'll take care of it...
