Any beta on Thailand climbing?

It is amazing!!! Bring an old rope, harness and shoes because after climbing there in 100% humidity next to the ocean, all gear gets really really gnarly and you will not want to bring it home.
Super food and people!!!

Don: I spent a month climbing there just over this past Xmas/New Years so if you to talk, I have lots to tell. My partner brought back the newest guidebook so I can ask to borrow that for you if you want to take a look (published this year & was only sold there, and more importantly, shows you which bolts are safe to clip & which are not b/c sometimes there will be 5 bolts right next to each other). Definitely go to 1 of the small islands if you can (we went to Ko Yao Noi). Bring some old but safe QDs to use & then donate them when you leave since each route there costs about $100 to put up (Sue R. told me that since she knows how much those Ti bolts cost). And go SCUBA diving too, it's one of the best places to dive - I might have enjoyed the diving more than the climbing. Hope to catch up with you & Syl soon!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
