Love it! This actually makes me want to take a few vacation days and head over to Joshua Tree for the first time. Cool to see a well-edited video that gives shows it would be like to climb there with my buds. Thanks for posting it!

Agreed!
I've never felt like such a terrible, unskilled climber until I watched these videos... so inspiring!
Thanks to everyone for finding these gems!

Arnaud Petit climbing Black Bean

One of my favorites, hopefully hasn't been posted yet. And you could contend that he had this so dialed that it is hardly trad climbing but impressive nonetheless.

I just realized this one isn't on here yet. It's become quite a classic. One of the few trad videos I laugh at.

As sweet as her little finger crack pitch looked, I couldn't help but wonder why they didn't do the perfect looking crack just to her right. Or maybe it was already done or something...

While these may not be AWESOME trad movies, they are three short films that focus on me and my buddies having fun on the rock. Enjoy!

Jake Jones wrote:Supposedly "greenpointing" uses no bolts. It wouldn't do much for your argument of "greenpointing" taking more mental fortitude than redpointing on bolts if you place your gear while you're bolt-protected. I'm sure it happens though. That's the part you don't see. This dude looks legit. Strong as fuck anyway, so I can't say shit to him.
I'm sure he rehearsed gear placements on top rope or using the bolts, but I don't see how this deminishes his feat. As soon as he goes for the 'greenpoint' it will take more 'mental fortitude' that leading it on bomber bolts. And it's not like he bolted that climb with a 'greenpoint' in the back of his head. This is on old sport climbing testpiece FA'd by John Bachar, that was now lead on gear. Impressive!

By the way, big thanks to all the posters. This is the best MP threat ever!
