I feel like I've seen a clip of Andy Kirpatrick jettisoning a haul bag, but a parachute popped out and slowed its descent. Does anybody know about this ultimate remote-bigwall technique? (Don't toss your shit off el cap) I've done some research and it seems like maybe you could use a emergency chute that paragliders carry.

Any info? Visions for a system?

Most likely the tent fly used as a psuedo-chute and not a dedicated parachute.

Yeah, I'm familiar with that approach, but my memory is telling me it was a definitive chute... could be wrong though.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
