App Feedback

ok so i dont think anyone has mentioned this yet, but a zoom feature would be super useful. Idk about you guys but my phone screen is not very large and I can barely make out any writing on, for example, maps of areas. |

Does anyone actually respond to concerns stated in this thread or os it just a place to make developers aware of issues? Still having problems syncimg anything on the android app |
|
Thanks for all the hard work on the app! |

Still having problems syncimg anything on the android appYep, we wait for a bunch of feedback and then try to fix a few things at a time. We just released a minor Android update that we're hoping fixes: - a bunch of small bugs - the ability to move the app to the SD card - the problem with bookmarks not saving The Android update is here |

First of all I'm using the Android version 1.1 build 13. So far I like the app but have a few questions recommendations. |

Nick Stayner wrote:Anyone know why it won't let me sync my stuff on the Droid app? I keep getting "An error occurred. Please try again" as a message. Have tried reinstalling etc... nothing seems to work. Pretty bummed!I agree with Nick, I have this problem on one device (Nook Tablet running CM7), but not another (HTC HD2 Android phone running CM7). Re-install didn't seem to fix the problem. |

Great app. Couple things I've noticed: |
|
For some reason, I'm no longer able to "get more" areas with the android app. When I try and go there, the page comes up blank. This used to work. |

Some route information is on the website, but not available for download to the iPhone. A specifc example is Spring Mountain in Oregon. Why is this? |

Why is this?Josh, that area is working fine for me. In the app, I tapped Get More Areas, then Oregon, then installed North Eastern Oregon. Spring Mountain is in there. |

Thanks, Nick. That's a super odd way of classifying, but I found it. Appreciate the beta. |

In the latest App, with the addition of the Forum within the App, I have found that you cannot side scroll when a line of text causes the window to expand outside of viewable area. |
|
On the iPad update, which looks great, if you click on classic climbs for an area, none of my star ratings show up. It would be nice to look at an area and see my ratings so I can easily identify a climb what I have or have not done |

Steve R wrote:THEY GOT RID OF SORTING L->R and R->L! The app is now USELESS as a guide! Please bring back sorting options. This made it impossible for me to find climbs in Seneca last weekend. No we didn't Steve. Not all areas have sorting information, and you must have been in one of those locations. We started collecting sort information about a year ago, and currently about 40,000 routes (half) are sorted so far. This database is entirely built by community at large. We don't have complete information for everywhere. |
|
It would be nice to be able to search the forums. You guys working on that? |
|
Agreed Jake. |
|
On my Ipad2 if I try to read the forums through the app it cuts the right side off with no way to scroll over to see it. |
|
I'd like to see a route rating option on the app. Not for stars, but for rating climb difficulty, ie 5.9, etc. that's all. |
