I think the idea was just to meet up at a more moderate crag to get to know each other and make sure everyone's comfortable & safe in a less-intimidating setting. Canal has some decent climbs (one of the better low 11s in CCC is there) but I totally agree, it can get really crowded. I've never climbed at Solaris, but I'm hoping to make it out wherever you girls want to meet up! :)

I don't lead above 5.8 outdoors yet but that photo makes me want to run away! Proof positive that moderately bolted areas are in huge demand; they are immensely popular. So I'm casting my vote for Solaris.

I'd be very happy with either Solaris or a crag in CCC.

I'm always looking for more female climbing partners for weekends or after work (5ish or so). Is anyone interested in getting out on Thursday after work?

Rayna · · Arvada, CO · Joined Aug 2010 · Points: 90

I'd be interested in getting out on weekends as well as during the week.

I lead up to about 5.7/5.8 outdoors, sometimes 5.9 and can second up to around 10d/11a.

Are people planning on climbing at Solaris this Saturday? If so, are you planning to meet at the crag or somewhere else before hand?

On the other hand, maybe we shouldn't post that here, in fear that every single, male climber in Boulder will show up...

Every single male climber in Boulder will be crushing sick problems sans shirts somewhere else that day, so you guys should be fine.

Well if the poster's comment above mine isn't baiting, I don't know what is.

That's good, Jake. You won't be at Solaris and neither will I. In fact, I don't know anyone who will be there.

Well gee this is "useful", not to mention "friendly". First impressions last a long time. Count yours as having been made.

You must have missed my very serious contributions to such threads as "What's Rock and Resole's phone number?" and other important threads near you. I like impressions like the kind Rick James' ring commemorating his song "unity" make. Slap! Ha ha ha! It's a celebration, bitches!

These comments we have added to this thread are what is known as "levity." Kirk Douglass may have detested it on his sets, but Robert Mitchum wasn't about to take that seriously.

Jake, the first impression I have made now has irreparably rubbed off on you from this rejoiner referencing Rick. But you are in luck, since E Johnson is in Boulder and not your neck of the woods. You are safe from scorn...for now. Keep up the good work.

I cannot believe you've been on MP for 6 years and this is your first impression of Stitch! He is a fixture of comic relief.

Cripes, didn't mean to hijack this thread quite so much with my shennanigans. Thanks for the props, Leash.

OK, um, back to the partner finding.

Wow, I thought for a rare moment, we ladies were actually going to carry off a non-Enquireresque thread on MP. Thanks for keeping us true to the MP form guys! We couldn't do it without you. ;)

Too funny. I surrender. I really do only read MP for the laughs! All that route info is extraneous.

Partners? What did I miss over the last 40 or so posts? (didn't want to be the first guy to say something for once)

Hi all! I'd be interested in staying in touch with this group - I'm not sure I'm up for this weekend, but certainly soon if not! Always looking for new ladies to hang around with!

Now that I won't be the first guy to chime in, I've been dying to say that this thread just screams that you ladies could use some sort of club or organization to help ya'll team up.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
