Hi everyone,

So I just took a job with DNC and will be working in the valley for the summer season and am looking to climb as much as possible. I have never been to the valley to climb before so I would like to start slow just to get a few climbs under my belt. I can sport lead up to 10b and have recently began to trad lead, nothing harder than a 5.8 since i just want to get comfortable placing gear quickly but I am able to follow up to about 5.10 and would have no problem belaying and seconding for someone thats working a project. I have a sport rack, rope, and the beginning of a trad rack (BD C4 .5 to 4 + stoppers) that I would be more than happy to contribute to the climb. I am down for any kind of climbing, sport, trad, boulder, its all about just having an awesome summer in the valley. Shoot me an email through mp if anyone is interested, I should be there by 6/20/2012. Take care.

Awesome, I'll definitely give you a call. I'll be there the 21st so hopefully i'll be free to climb soon after that.

Have fun working for the Devil Needs Cash! J/k, had some of the most fun of my life while I traded my menial labor for some cash and a place to stay in YNP. Enjoy! Where are you working?

Have fun! I had a great summer working there despite the heat and lack of climbing partners, but go out with whoever you can find, push your self hard! And make sure you top rope Generator crack as many times as it takes to get it clean!!! I mean that, the first time will feel absolutely impossible, but read up on wide technique and you'll be able to float up, well not float but you'll get up it and wide cracks won't be quite as scary when you encounter one 200 feet off the deck.

Whatever you do make sure you're having fun, no matter how stupid your boss is or annoying the tour-ons, play in the river and climb as hard as you can!

Oh, I forgot the most important thing, stay away from the ladies, both me and my friend found our wives there! Great ladies but they can get in the way of climbing.
