City of Rocks info for this weekend?

I planned a trip to City of Rocks from Fri 5/25 until Tues 5/29. Looks like it might rain/T-storm.

With the current weather forecast, do you think we'll still be able to get a few days of climbing in?

Does anyone know where I can get an accurate weather forecast for COR?

Can you recommend any rest day activities?

We're flying into Salt Lake and will have a car. If you were in a similiar situation, would you change destinations? (any type of climbing is fine...easy trad, boulder, sport)

Thanks for the help!

I've given up on going there for Memorial Day. With that forecast I'd look into going elsewhere. You'll get climbing in between the squalls of rain, hail, and snow. Where are you driving from?

Good call. I think they're closed on Sundays from what I recall.

Weather doesn't look as bad down south. Couple extra hours of driving, but, maybe keep St. George as an option.

NOAA is ok for accuracy. Keep an eye on it. It'll be worse or better by then...

You might get a bunch of climbing in, or, none.

Rest days? Hike in the rain. Take in the historical trails. Buy pizza and beer at Rock City.

We'll be flying into Salt Lake and we'll have use of a truck. So anywhere within 4-5 hrs drive. Someone mentioned San Raphael Swell as an option, and i've always wanted to go to Joe's Valley...so we might end up heading that direction.

I'm still really hoping weather will turn for the better at COR.

The Swell looks like the hot side of good. Not a great place for easy trad/bouldering/sport though. Maple Canyon weather looks really good.

I wonder how it's going? We have been rained/snowed out of the climbs we were into in the Uintas, and it looks like today is going to be no different. Ugh, what a drag. I thought of COR as well, and then checked the weather, and it was no better. Drat again.
