Hello! My partner decided to head up north but there is still stuff here in lovely Colorado I would like to climb.

I'm hoping to get back into the park this week and next week (5/21 - 5/30) for some moderate alpine. Actually, I'll go a little harder than moderate if you're willing to rope gun. I lead trad up to 5.9 and have a rack of doubles and rope.

I did Zowie last week. Stuff I'm interested in would be Hallett Peak, Sharkstooth, Spearhead. There's even stuff in Lumpy I'd like to climb. Hell, I just want to climb. Let's just climb some stuff. :D

If you want to get to know me a little first you can check out my blog and my climbing resume.

Maybe bring crampons for the approach to Hallett or an axe to cut steps- we had a warm night (thick clouds) a few days ago and it was still pretty frozen and steep enough.
Thin ice was formed continuous in the Love Route Gully 400' long and bottoms out between Better Than and the start of the Culp- this ice didn't melt on Thursday 5/17. Chimney looked somewhat melted out but icy.
We were trying to stay warm on Jackin' the Johnson which was tough in a cold wind and intermittent sun. Warmer aspects or sufficient clothing are definitely recommended as we had snow at 8800' this weekend.
Climb On!
