Where's the best slab climbing?

So I'm enjoying slab leads more and more everyday. I've been mostly climbing in Little Cottonwood Canyon and think that the rock is perfect for delicate slab movement and good routes.

I'm asking where else are there good slab leads?

not sure of anything in your area..

however, that route looks much more than dicey!

I think you are asking what other areas have slab climbing as good as LCC.

In the West, Tuolumne Meadows and Squamish stand out.

Closer to you, there is a little bit of slab climbing in West Sawtooth Canyon, near Ibex.

tuolumne meadows if you like bold climbing. Stifler's mom in little has a superb pitch of slab, two variations on the 5th pitch

Sounds like someone needs to make a trip to Suicide outside of LA. Impeccable rock, and nothing to hang onto! Great frictiony slab routes from 5.easy to 5.youmustneedmagictoclimbthis fun!

Also basically any othe granite climbing area should be full of slab climbs (Yosemite/Tuolumne, tahquitz, Joshua tree, heck there's even an area with 6-8 pitch granite slab routes outside of McCall Idaho).

Enjoy your slabbin!

J Tree - where 3 bolts on 80 feet of slab is considered more than adequate protection.

If you're out near LA and have an extra day, you can check out Devil's Punchbowl as well. I don't know if I would call it the best slab climbing, but there are certainly some fun shaded routes and the area, while small, is clean. I enjoyed it when I was out there.

These are pretty cool -- but approach is a bear, involving a flight to the UK, etc.

Stone Mtn and Looking Glass were my intro to slabbing, mighty nice climbing. Would like to visit some of the other areas suggested but have to admit that for good slabbin in nice weather without anybody else around South Platte is hard to beat! Outside of Turkey Rocks and Devils head most of my trips to SPlatte we had the slabs entirely to ourselves. Finding the climbs can be a little difficult at times but it's a great place to climb in the fall and winter.

Whitehorse and Chapel Pond. Rogers Rock if you don't mind a canoe approach and start.

Whitehorse in NH is one of my favorite areas:

There's lots of good stuff on the flatirons in Boulder, CO.

There's some slabby stuff in nearby Boulder Canyon, as well as St. Vrain Canyon.

Elephant buttres, the bihedral... etc.

cheers.
