I have just moved to Boston from Minnesota and I was hoping for some pointers about where to climb indoors and out.

I live in the brighton Area and will not be working over the summer. I'm hoping for some advice about good climbing spots around Boston where I will be able to meet the community around here. I especially like bouldering!!

As far as gyms what gym would be the closest to me for climbing during the cold winter months or when it's raining?

Thanks for all of your help!!

MetroRock boston

Rockspot Dedham (large bouldering area)

Hammond Pond for a quick close fix.

Metrorock is by far the best gym in the area. Pawtuckaway has the most bouldering, and is about an hour and a half(?) north. Hammond Pond, and Quincy Quarry are the closest bouldering, and there's some buildering around town if you're really desperate.

Jak, let me know if you want to climb. I'm not working over the summer either and looking for some mid-week climbing. I'm not much of a boulder(er?), but I'd be happy to get into it and give ya a local tour over the summer. Shoot me a PM if you want to meet up.

PS. My climbing partner is from Minnesota, so you two could talk about your favorite hot dishes.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
