This is a great approach shoe. I helped product test these and beat the crap out of them and they are still holding strong. Good rubber and Super comfortable. Definitely recommend these!

Looks nice. I had the Evolv Maximus 'approach' and climbing shoe from a couple years ago. It climbed better than it hiked for comfort, and this new shoe looks like it is better for the approach hike and probably not intended much for a climbing shoe.

Random indeed. Sorry but not beats the Salewa Firetail

Nothin' beats this. Lightweight and functional. I wore these to my friends wedding in Tallahassee AND hiked to the base of Simply Read.

Yaaaaaaah!

These are very well made solid shoes. I work on my feet about 65hrs. a week and these are holding up great. Previous shoe was scarpa pro something high top approach shoe and these are holding up better and more comfortable. The scarpas may climb a touch better but not so much that it makes a difference for approaches. Evolves grab better on slab scarpas on edges. BETTER THAN ITALIAN SHOES.

I wonder how they compare to the camp 4s...I put close to 100 miles in a pair before ditching them, loved them, but since they run $150 now, I haven't bought a new pair :/

100 miles? That's not much... Did the rubber wear off that fast? I'm looking for some light hiking and scrambling shoes that could do some easy 5th class. I had a pair of Scarpa Zens, but the leather split where it meets the rubber toe rand. Stupid design on their part. Great shoe otherwise.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
