Is the Knezeks book out yet?

According to the website, Darren's guide is due May 10.
Both guides will fill the need for good info on the area. Darren's book is all inclusive.
Wolverine's e-version is $10.00 and will get you to the most popular crags and routes. Seems like a good deal to me for the summer road trip.

I've had the wolverine guide for a bit now, just ordered Knezeks book...will definitely post back after I flip through it.

Knezek's - support those who support the climbing area.

Has anyone recieved this book yet? I preordered mine awhile ago and have tried emailing them a couple times. They were supposed to ship May 1???

They are still having problems with the printer last I heard (last week). Give the guys at Mountainworks a call, because I'm not sure email will do the trick. I'm anxiously awaiting my copy too.... I can't wait to visit Utah in a few weeks to visit Mapl... er, I mean, my family.

Looks like the new date is May 25.

Darren and/or Jason have a Facebook page on which the last status (May 9) is

"Heard back from the publisher today, ran into a few delays, but we hope to have it in a couple weeks. Super excited to see how they look!"

A friend of mine received an email last week explaining the delay (sounds like prepress problems caused the book to slip to the back of the printer's queue).

I know Darren has been on Denali the last several weeks (reached the summit May 20, according to his partner's blog entry), so he won't be responsive. Don't know what Jason Stevens has been doing lately.

And the website was correct. Guidebooks were delivered this evening to Mountainworks.

I drove over there and now I've got one (two, actually) sitting in front of me (but I haven't cracked them open because the binding glue needs to set up for another 24 hours).

I presume pre-orders will be shipped soon.

OK, I couldn't resist (but I'm being careful). It's really pretty.

Yep... It's here!

Come into Mountainworks and get your copy, they're open from 10am-8pm Mon-Sat. The binding is still setting up but iv'e been able to crack mine open and its fantastic, totally worth the wait. With full color photo's, route descriptions, accurate grading, FA information and history, area maps, and more, this is a beautiful book.

Great job DK and crew.

According to Jason Stevens, guidebooks are on the way to those of you that pre-ordered.

Yep, I just got a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Sweet.

To answer the original question, I can now say that Knezeks is the book of choice. More route details, more routes, and climbing history make this one a winner. I just got the book last night, and I haven't been able to put it down.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
