I'm looking to get on the Culp Bossier this weekend and want to know if anyone has been up in that area and experienced much snow/ice on the wall.

Well considering the CAIC mountain weather forecast...

I asked a buddy of mine who was skiing in the area about a week ago. He said that there was still snow on ledges, if that helps.

But like Kevin said, the forecast for this week doesn't look promising.

If you are looking for a winter alpine climb, go for it.

If you were looking for a pleasant alpine rock climb, wait 2-3 months. That face gets little to no sun right now and it will be cold, even if it is relatively warm in the sun. I was there yesterday, and there is snow on the ledges. Hallett chimney looks packed (and still unconsolidated), and the NF couloir off of Hallett appeared to have powder snow.

The little mixed alpine routes W of the Hallett couloir looked like they might be fun, but probably not too consolidated yet.

Does anyone have updates on the Notch Couloir? I've seen a couple pics and heard a few people say it's probably in good shape, but no first hand accounts. Any idea how last weekend's storm affected it?
