This is an issue with the Motorola Droid 3 as well.

I also think that it would be a lot more friendly to have the option to dive one or two layers deeper prior to downloading the 'area' - for instance to get Boulder Canyon you must download all of Boulder, which is huge and contains multiple separate areas.

Phone: Mytouch - LG

I agree with other users about being able to download only portions of an area or download areas onto the SD card, downloading the entire RRG takes a ton of space on my phone and it would be nice to be able to download only a few of the crags.

Also, if I bookmark a route and then decide to delete the area the route remains under the bookmark tab, if I click on the bookmark I get a message saying "an error occurred while accessing the datastore." Then if I go back to the bookmark tab and click on another bookmark of something which is still on my phone, I get an "app has stopped unexpectedly message". After I hit "Force Close" I am taken back to the homepage and it seems to work fine again unless I go back through the process above. I assume this is because the area of the bookmarked route is no longer on my phone but I have not been able to find a way to delete the bookmark without actually re-downloading the area and removing the bookmark that way. Seems like you should be able to delete bookmarks from the bookmarks tab to avoid this issue.

After looking into it some more it apears that it is only the routes on my to do list that I've put on from my computer that i am unable to take off.

Upgraded to version 9 today and played with it some more.
On a Samsung Charge (latest Verizon Android release)
I didn't have the rotate views and return to page behavior mentioned above. I did try out of curiosity.
I was able to delete a small area - Monsey Glen Regional Park (1/6 areas downloaded)

The one behavior quirk I noticed was that the behavior to expand a comment for a route was not what I expected. There is a blue "tap for more/less" notification below long comments. Tapping that does nothing, I actually had to tap on the comment to get it to expand.

1 little bug, 1 maybe bug

device: Samsung Galaxy S
OS: android 2.3.6

1. Text fields which are extendable (the ones saying 'Tap to see more' on the bottom), are scrollable. When I put my finger on the text field and move a little bit the text in the box moves up and the first couple of lines are not visible anymore. It is pretty hard to reverse this scrolling. Tapping on the field does not help. Even after tapping, thus extending the text field to see the whole text, the first couple of lines remain invisible. Please let me know if you want a video of this behavior.

2. When selecting a climb from a list only the name and grade are actually linked to the page of the climb. The stars are no links.

awesome app!!

The "tap to see more" button is very small and hard to hit/ doesn't always respond. other than that it works great!

I've had this happen on my Droid RAZR as well.

minor, but it makes me pause after using other apps: The search box does not have the customary search icon at the right side of it. Yes, hitting the 'enter' key works, but with most other apps I hit the search box.

Placemarker. Build 11 has been released to all testers. Replies after this one should be related to build 11 only. We've addressed everything before this (or passed on some suggestions).

Just installed build 11. I know it's been mentioned earlier, but I'm finding the image scrolling feature to still be quite sensitive, making it hard to just move 1 picture at a time as it tends to go 2-3 pics at a time. If I keep my finger on the picture through the whole scroll it generally works alright though.

Also as a suggestion feature-wise, I'd love to see the option for "Best routes for YOU in this area" for areas and subareas...it would be a nice addition in my opinion. Keep up the good work!

Had a force close on the new version (build 11) while attempting to download 2 areas (which had download errors when attempted from the areas screen) simultaneously from the home screen.

I do not have any issues to report. Just loaded latest version and will try it out further.

I am facing an issue with phone storage space, would love to see a way to move areas or the entire app to SD Card.

Also, when I tried to remove an area to clear up space it says "The application Mountain Project has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

I get the same error when trying to delete an area. Here is the logcat from my HTC Thunderbolt (Android 2.3.4):

Also for the record I find this to be worth more than $4.99/year and would pay more.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble deleting areas.

One other issue: It appears that the imbedded area (Teton Natl Park) is downloaded without required updates. You have to update it manually, which isn't a huge deal but would be nice to correct. The first time I tried to open it after updating, I got a "Force Close" error. I tried to open it again and it came up fine.

Other than those two issues, I've found great functionality so far. I have been super impressed with the app.

ETA: On my phone, there seems to be no option for moving the app to my SD card. Even going into the app manager and the system settings, I can't get the phone to move it over.

Installed build 11 yesterday and have a major issue which has lead me to uninstall.
I had the same problem with a previous build (8), and didn't try with 9 or 10, sorry, but I assume these build would all not work with my phone. Makes me think it's a problem with my operating system and compatibility.
The app runs fine after install but when I try to download an area it stalls out at some point and then will say a 'process failed' and ask me to force close it. Makes the app not so usable but the bigger problem: with this app installed all other apps and even basic phone functions will begin to get these 'process failed' errors and force close. Uninstalling the MP app fixes this.
I'm running Cyanogen Mod, android 2.3.7 on a Samsung Galaxy/Fascinate. I don't have these errors normally. I'd be happy to provide more info if you guys are insterested, pm will get the quickest response from me.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
