Just wanted to say that I posted a pretty vague, nOOb question awhile back about gear climbing and I didn't have a single dude flame on me or even talk shit. I've heard a lot of people say that MP is for nOObs or dudes who are just trolling the forums, looking to start drama.
I disagree. I got nothing but positive feedback that was really helpful. Could trad climbers be nicer than boulderers or sport dudes? Maybe, but I think a lot of it is how the question is phrased. It seems to me that if you ask a legit question and are open to the responses, you'll get helped out here, every time, with no static.
So big thanks to all the dudes who help people out in these forums and take the time to respond to questions that are asked. Its always pretty badass and inspiring to get some intel from someone who's ahead of you on the curve.
Don't let assholes tell you MP is for nOObs or posers or lames. Its a tool to learn about climbing. Where's the wrong in that?? Be a human- use the tools available. The only nOOb thing, in my opinion, is to hate on someone for trying to learn and advance and engage in the community. So don't be a hater. Use MP and learn.
And he's just giving me shit, its not a big deal. So I don't feel like rule 1 was violated. Unless you know him and know he's trying to be a dick, in which case it's still cool and a non-issue.
