I'm confused by the significance of a "bouldery section" on a sport route. What are bouldery moves? It seems like other words would be more accurate since boulder problems can be anything. Thanks!
This implies a section of the climb that is significantly harder than the rest of the climb, or that the climbing solution to the crux requires particularly powerful moves to solve.

Yeah. To which I would add a complex and/or difficult to read sequence.

i think JJNS has a pretty good point that usually I consider if categorizing something as bouldery. generally, i find it to mean that there is a stretch of climbing where it is hard to perform the moves without continuity (ie resting, stopping to place gear, etc will be considerably difficult). this can be due to a powerful nature, or sometimes an insecure nature that is hard to remove a hand for any period of time.
It is a bit arbitrary, but a good definition might be movement that is 1) significantly more difficult than an endurance route of the same grade, and 2)similar in style to problems that most people like to set in gyms.
So in other words, steep, dynamic, powerful, tensiony movement.
There might be a friction slab crux that is significantly harder than the rest of the climb, but most people don't consider static friction problems fun to set in the gym.
