We are heading to the desert for a few days.
Who has some good adult drink mixes for the backcountry.
Powdered mixes like Gatorade with Vodka maybe? I don't know
I am out of my league here.
Any suggestions would help.

Instant dry sports drinks mix up with your wilderness purified water and give it flavor. Cherry Vodka is nice mix with alot of drinks.,,or a citrus rum too. Easier, lighter to carry strong booze to mix instead of cans and cans of beer...,, unless you plan on having a beer Sherpa come along.

This is a good start. What about jungle juice options? Oranges or a melon?

My vote goes towards vodka and crystal light.

Mixers are alcohol abuse. Drink whisky, rum, or tequila straight ahead.

We really have a market hole to fill here.

I see opportunity. All those "help me design a climbing item for my senior project" threads have missed the mark.

Assuming you want the biggest bang for your weight, get Everclear. Mixed with Kool Aid (or any sweet sports drink) it goes down smooth. The other great option is weed.

+1 on the Wild Turkey, but ditch the bottle. I've found that the platypus "bottle" with the screw top is great for putting in a pack. Less weight and compacts well when empty.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
