One of my partners will soon be moving, so I'm looking for someone who's up for climbing at the New, Seneca, or elsewhere. Trad and sport are both fine.
The main thing I look for in a partner is someone who appreciates being out on the rock. Pushing one's limits has its place and can be fun, but there's also a lot more to a great route than just its grade. Hard-core and new climbers are both welcome. I have over 15 years' experience, ropes, rack, draws, etc.
Also, I especially enjoy longer routes in the Sierra, Rockies, Red Rocks, etc., some of which just require the right partner, so more ambitious destinations are also possible.
I moved to the Pittsburgh area from Salt lake City last summer and have been climbing for 16 years. I climbed a lot more before I had kids and an ACL surgery last year but am excited to get back the passion and get on new routes. I am not an ego climber and enjoy the adventure of the sport - would much rather onsite a 5.10 then work a 5.12.
I am planning to do a day trip to the Pile for the first time next week with some non-climber friends - let me know if you are interested. Also, I am looking for someone to do the weekend of April 28th. Let me know if you are interested.
