Survey for Purchasing A Climbing Harness

I am posting this link for my friend who is completing his Independent Study at the University of Arkansas. In his words, "It's a very short survey about the buying habits and purchase decisions involved in the purchase of a climbing harness. Completion time should be about 3 minutes or less." |

Not quite sure where this survey is going. It asks what I look for in a harness/harness brand, and asks which brands I've bought. Problem is, all of the things I looked for in my second harness were informed the perceived crappiness of the first harness, so I hope they dont try to correlate what I look for with what I actually own. |

I agree with both of the above comments, plus I didn't answer the safety question. MPr's may correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm kind of assuming that all harnesses that are available at my local gym (Mammut, Black Diamond, Petzl, Singing Rock) are about the same in overall, quantifiable safety. |

So I don't think about relative safety when buying a harness, but if I didn't care about safety quite a lot, I wouldn't be buying one in the first place.Well, scared shitless on a big wall, I do appreciate the perceived safety of having an obscenely overbuilt Yates Shield. |
