There has been a lot of dissatisfaction with MP expressed in forums on MP lately. For those who are fed up I would like to point out that there are few other venues through which you can connect with a new partner and do a great route on pretty short notice - as I did today with Matt Kick after replying to a partner request he posted this week. Pics of the fun on Silk Road below.

I second the +1. This is my favorite site, and the only place I post on a forum since I haven't found anywhere else worth my time. And I particularly love the latest "why did they delete my post? 1st Amendment blah blah!" Hows aboot cuz they don't want this place to turn into another youtube, or worse, rc.com. Also, the 1st amendment doesn't apply to the owner of a website who wants his property to maintain some decency. Deal with it, trolls.

David, nice shots! It looked awfully nice up there from below. Glad you got to swing some tools on it!

Right on David, I think we all need to be reminded of that from time to time. I had a similar great partner experience a couple weeks ago when I was working in Albq. for a week. Nothing like meeting friendly partners thru MP to show you the local crags. The shithead trolls will come & go (as they have since the beginning), but MP still kicks ass regardless!!

We woudn't have all those awesome MP beer nights if it wasn't for this site! There's so many fine quality people we have met in person, and had the pleasure of climbing with who are part of the MP climbing community. I appreciate all the hard work from our landlords , and administrators who most likely have busy, and productive lives outside of this site, but still sacrifice their time to try, and make MP a better place.

Agreed, this is the site I check the most, and the only one I actively post on. Show MP some love!

Nice! I was wondering if you were still planning on doing that route. Thanks for the pics. I still give my vote to MP for my favorite climbing site.

I agree. It's a great site for beta, finding partners, and sharing technical knowledge. Some of you guys on here seem to spend a lot of time speaking your mind, and I hope you're getting an equal amount of time out there on the rock. Kudos to keepin' it posi' around here!

MP is my homepage. Love opening up the browser and seeing random climbing pics of strangers. Gets me motivated to get out there
