hey i just bought some older gear that have no slings and was also wondering the best way to re-sling these cams. I have researched and found some companies out there that offer slinging for like 6.50, is it just as safe to tie your own webbing to the cam? if so what knot is ideal? and also type of webbing ? any help would be greatly appreciated?

It is safe to resling your own with webbing or cord, but the knots are bulky. Among the smaller shops that resling are runoutcustoms.com and Wired Bliss.

i have used Wired Bliss with real good results. Don't even bother with tied webbing, it's a waste of time.

You bet you can tie your own slings, use a water knot.

But in my experience, I perfer to have my cams reslung by eith Yates, wired bliss and such. The final product is much more use friendly and compact. The knot get bulky and starts to get anoying after a while.
So unless you are really needed to save a few $ paying for a sewn sling is the way to go.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
