Best ice climbing boots????

Does anyone have any experience/opinion on the Kayland M 11 or Hypertraxion ice climbing/mountaineering boots? I have a pair of old Scarpa Freneys which are a little too narrow in the forefoot. The Kayland boots are supposedly a wider boot.
Thanks

Dane....
Phantom guides are too roomy....... Similar to my other Scarpa boots.....
I think I just have to wait til I can get La Sportiva........ Better fit for me it seems........

Now I just have to sort out if I go with Batura or Trango Extreme......... and as I cannot try them on anywhere I will be ordering them blindly........when ever they become available..... Sigh!

Just some obligatory MP cockblocking, Ray.

Too bad. Tough trying to get a man's boot to fit. I'd be surprised if the Trangos fit. The Batura's is an even bigger last, much more akin to the Scarpa Phantom Guide internally than the Trango.

The woman's version of the Nepal Evo might well be worth a look if the Trango doesn't work. Good luck.

Yep in general it is pretty hard to find women's high performance gear, especially for small women. I'm only 5.3 and got a small foot. Typically the women's version of any gear is pretty tame and rarely at the performance level I like. Same dilemma with alpine boots and skis.
My current ice boots are la sportive and so where the ones before and they both fit like a glove. Although I havnt tried the Baturas, folk have told me the fit is fairly similar to most other la sportive boots........of course I don't know how the tiny size 38 would fit.....
I just don't want a mediocre boot....
.......If I only had size 42 foot or so.......endless choices....

La Sortiva says the Nepal and Batura have the same last. They don't imo, at least in my size 45s. Bit heavy but the Nepal is a great technical boot for ice and mixed as well as being pleanty warm in comparison to the others mentioned. But then how heavy can a 38 be? It is likely to fit better than most as the lacing offers more options that the Batura or Trango.

With a 38 at least you get a fairly rigid sole :)

Hmmmmmmm....... I do like it rigid.........lol
