Anybody happen to know what the ice conditions are in Sandstone, Casket, and along the Northshore currently with this awkward winter we have been having.

SS-only ice is from the Farming before the fest. Don't know if they have farmed since.
Casket-Last report was no ice. Need more snow on top. BUT, just bring a rack of draws!
NS-no report. Doubt much, or even if the rivers are completely frozen over. Call Stoneharbor in GM, they might know something.

gooseberry has ice, cascade river is likely good and I suspect manitou is forming - will check out manitou and climb cascade with clients next week. Plan to have groups of beginners at gooseberry in feb so I am relieved to see all that has formed on lower falls...

Cascade icefall is very thin, but climbable. Nightfall was very thin, other climbs below nightfall on devils track are in. Sandstone was good to go, but didn't look like any farming had taken place since icefest. (as of 12/27)

Sandstone was very climbable yesterday (1-1-12). Most of the "big" routes were wet due to the fact that it is currently being farmed - the water is being left on until Thursday (1-5). There was some really fun thin stuff. Should be fantastic this weekend.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
