Not in the Sierra!

edit: Not the Needles, even though there is some Needles-quality rock here (to be fair there's also some sugary-junk type rock here as well...).

United States? Northern hemisphere? :)

In the western US - and here's some other hints:
- there's been climbing here for decades
- no info can be found online about this place
- it's public land, not in Wilderness, and you get cell phone reception at the crag
- and the big hint: there are no significant towns or cities anywhere near here

West Desert area UT? Near that big chossy looking thing?

Tehipite Dome?, I know you said not the sierra, but CA?

Granite Mtns, NV?

Thousand plus foot granite in the middle of nowhere - not Idaho or Arizona either...

Another hint - it's a few hours drive from here:

Sorry...I've been getting outside on a trip to San Diego! And I can tell you, the route DK is on is 5.11b with a really fun dyno at the top. In other words, it's harder than it looks. This one could be really hard...
