I just moved to Boulder, have a background in the fire service/technical rescue with a quite a few sub specialty certifications. Looking to possibly get involved and do some networking. Are they a good competent group? Opinions? Feel free to email message me if you don't want to post publicly.
They're a good competent group of folks- I have one friend who was with them for years (before switching to BES)- he did a lot of good work with them, and they're for real.

Thanks for the response Peter, I think I'm going to check out their meeting next month.
I started as a prospective member a few months ago. I'ts about a year long process of training before prospectives can apply for membership. That number is probably less if you have done rescue work previously though. Everyone is very knowledgeable, and one of the members literally "wrote the book" for alpine rescue.
As a member of Summit County's rescue team, I've had the pleasure to work with RMR on many mutual aid missions. I can attest that they are a solid group of capable men and women. Plus, they get a lot of bad a$$ rescues, with the plethora of climbing areas in their jurisdiction. If I lived in Boulder, I would absolutely try to join.
