Looking to buy some new shoes and was wondering if there were any big differences between laces vs velcro other than personal preference. Thanks.

All of those are totally different shoes. The Miura Lace and Katana (original velcro) don't have the P3 system. The newer Miura VS and Katana Lace Up both do. The latter are significantly more downturned and maintain that downturn. Which you'll like will depend on fit, purpose, and preference. You'll probably just need to try them all on.

+1. For instance, Miura Lace fits me well whereas Velcro VS version does not. I like the Katana Lace too but it is a rather narrow shoe.

I own both the miura vs and the katana lace. the original miura lace and the katana velcro, the heel doesn't fit well for me. the miura vs and the katana lace, the heel fits amazing(wonder if it has something to do with the p3 platform). I found just the opposite. I think that the katana has a wider fore foot than the miura. the only opportunity that I had with the miura velcro is the front velcro strap has begun to tear and also the metal buckle that the strap runs through ripped off. I had rock and resole repair it.the katana lace hasn't stretched at all in the 4 months that I've owned it.both edge well. for convenience go with the velcro. if you don't mind laces then try the katana.I guess in a perfect world buy both...

I'll just say that I LOVE the Katana Lace! Unbelievable shoes! I couldn't tell you anything in comparison to the other models other than the velcro version of the Miura didn't fit where as the Katana was fantastic.

Katana Velcro vs muira VS is no contest for me. The katana doesnt fit well and the muiras fit fantastic.

They are all great shoes, and they all have very different fits. Get whichever fits you best. Note that even within each shoe type, the pace up and Velcro versions fit VERY differently. While the miura VSs (and the lace ups for that matter) definitely start off being pretty aggro, they flatten out and become flat and sensitive. I consider this a good thing, but ymmv. The katanas are a bit stiffer, but not as aggressive. I consider them more a vertical edging shoe. I can also size to keep on my foot for a few hours.
