What bindings?
|
I just picked up a pair of BD megawatt skis for those big days in Utah. What bindings do you guys recommend for them? Im gonna stay away from tele since my knees are not gonna hold up to the constant dropping. What AT binding would you recommend and why? |

Dynafits for lightest weight/max vert. Don't do tons of bumps and jumps though. |

Thanks for the input. |

If you want a thorough discussion of issues with dukes, dynafit, etc. go to TGR. Seriously, you'll find more info than you could have hoped for. |

The MFD Plate out of salt lake that you put regular alpine bindings (Salamon) on should be lighter than a pair of Dukes. Seems nice to have a regular alpine binding and the plate is way easier to manipulate in and out of tour mode. |

I have Dynafit on my backcountry setup and have ridden them super hard. I would recommend them for just about anything. Super lightweight, durable, low profile, easy to switch from tour to ski. I have FT12 bindings on Kilowatts. |

I have a set of approach skis set up with silverreta 500's on stigmas, but obviously not gonna throw those on em. Thoughts?I switched over to the Lighter Dynafit setup last year because of Chronic knee problems and would never go back! My new setup total weight savings 4.5 lbs with BD Quadrant Boots with Dynafit Bindings 4.5 lbs. I believe this is equal to 15 lbs on your back. I skied Fritchis for years and it is a great binding that can take more stress like the Marker Dukes, but they are heavy. I don't huke cliffs or ski moguls anymore with hopes of keeping my knees for many more years. Hopefully technology comes up with a knee fix solution versus the artificial knee that I heard Doctors mention no Rock Climbing or Skiing :( :( The Megawatt ski is a heavy ski so putting a heavier binding on it wouldn't make any sense to me. |

I prefer Marker Alpine Touring (AT) Binding |
