PDX Steph Davis and other interesting stuff at Mazama Clubhouse

The Mazamas should be commended for kicking it into high gear. They are doing a bang up job in lining up some talent and other interesting things like clinics. (No, not the kind where you get your drip fixed)

Steph Davis: will be doing a slideshow tonight, 7PM Thursday at Mazamas clubhouse (527 SE 43rd Avenue). She is not just doing a slideshow but a couple of crack climbing seminars (which you missed already:-( BTW. There is a parade of similar talent and similar interesting crap to follow, check the Mazama calender for updates and current info.

That is Bill Coe, studfuck, first ascentionist, badass, and all around alpinist and wall climber to you dude. Don't know if he is a member of the Mazamas, but that would be a good thing.

LOL, thanks Steve....hmmm, errr.

Anyway, I'm not a member of the Mazamas Ben. When Gini Honbecker ran the Advance Program something back in the 80s, I was guiding for her through International Climbing Expeditions (this was @when John Smolich and Alan Pennington died on K2) and she asked me to help teach the Advance Program for a couple of years in the mid 1980s: which I was happy to do. Good group of folks, I do get out with Jeff Thomas now, who's the archivist and living like a troll in the Mazamas library. So I pop in to the clubhouse on occasion. Those guys built a pretty slick climbing wall inside the building.
