Promised Land - Guidebook? Future?

I climbed for the first time at the Promised Land this past weekend. Very impressed with the location, quality of the climbs and the quantity of rock. I have a copy of Rusty Baillie's 1995 fold out guide for Promised Land but is only lists a dozen or so climbs. With all of the rock in that canyon there must now be hundreds of climbs. Is there a newer, more comprehensive guidebook for Promised Land? What is the future of the climbing area? Is it on FS/BLM land, and therefore somewhat protected, or on State Trust land?

Where did you find that Rusty Baillie guide? Sorry I don't have more info for you, I'd like to know more about the place as well. I've hiked that canyon really far back; Though there could be hundreds of climbs in there, there definitely is not hundreds of established routes yet.

I purchased Rusty's 1995 Sullivan Canyon/Promised Land fold-out guide in Prescott, probably around 1995. I never made it out to Promised Land because it is considered a sport-climbing area and I am mostly a trad climber. So when I made it out there for the first time last weekend, I was surprised by the number of good looking trad lines.

There is not another version of the P-lands fold out guide. Hopefully one day someone will compile something new for the area. As of now there are more lines that have been established up the canyon a ways, if you are willing to explore a bit and climb unknown grades. Be aware that a few of the anchors do need updating at this point. A few of my favorites - Golden Idol 11a and Tarzan 11a are in the fold out guide cir. 1995. I will try and post it on here. This land is a combo of State land (Main area- Valerie's Book etc) and up canyon is private land that is owned by a rock mining operation or something. You can look it up on the Yavapai county GIS mapping site. We hope that access to this area stays open!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
