Summer is over. (sob) There is snow in the high country and it's getting dark by the time dinner is over. No more 5am before work climbing, no more getting home at 10PM after a post-pitch beer. So how do we drown our sorrows? At the Dark Horse at dusk, of course. Bring a few stories and photos to share, any spare gear you want to swap, a few bucks for pitchers and pub-food, and a hankie to wipe away the post-season blues... Dusk is ~7PM, and some will no doubt climb after work. See you Maybe 7:30-ish.

I replied to the last one but then had to bail (lame, I know). A bunch of us climb North Table this time of year, on Thursdays, and could meet at Woodies after that, but if it will rain we will be at Movement, and therefore the DH makes sense. I guess I'm voting Thursday (Sept. 29th) but I will only be at DH if the weather is crappy. cheers. -chris

OK, so next Thursday it is. So far I have RSVP's from: Tony B. Chris Pe. and his crew (late arrivals) Heather M. (maybe) Stef V. Kat A. Tim D. Mark Ru. T.M. Chris L. Joseffa M. Lee S. Dolgio & partner Micah A. Jason H. Bill D. Chris Pa. Seth M. Hank & Wacky. Dave J. And I assume some of the usual crowd that never RSVP's but usually shows up.
Anyone else, so I know what size crowd we are expecting?

I just left The Sharp End's Home office a few minutes ago with some interesting stuff... Fred and Heidi gave me a selection of books to offer at a discount for the event. These include the brand new releases of the Mt Evans Bouldering Guide and the new Spearfish Canyon books. Each will sell for 33% off retail plus tax, which works out to 75% of listed cover price after figuring for tax. I also have a few copies of Steve Bartlet's Desert Towers picture/coffee table book, which is Awesome, for those who have not seen it. I'll also have copies of Hass's Flatirons guide, Mabe's Clear Creek Canyon guide, the latest edition of Bloom's Indian Creek, the Levin Eldorado Canyon book, Gillette's South Saint Vrain book, and a few copies of The Black Canyon guide and the 2012 Women of Climbing Calendar, all at the same discount. Bring cash or check for these. If you print a check make it out to Sharp End Publishing, not to me. I'm only the carrier, not the retailer. See you all soon.

It looks like I am going to be there, and if the Harem shows, I can die happy.

If this event is open to visitors, my partner and I would like to stop by, we'll be in the area. What time does it go till?

See you there. Any time after 7, people should be filtering in. Make sure to come upstairs to the room with the pool tables. I've called in advance and they know we are coming.

Right now I am planning on being there around 9:30. Sorry for the late arrival, but I want to do some climbing at Movement beforehand. It's likely my "crew" will show up, which consists of 4 or 5 other people depending on who shows. Perhaps we can constitute the "late crew". cheers! -chris

Looking forward to enjoying some humor and wit, and maybe a stout or two. It's about time I made it to one of these.
