Here is a Southeastern/motor-transport version...
Speaking only regarding the areas I know and frequent...
Keeping it confined to the Tennnessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Carolina...all driving, all easy trips out of major metro areas.

December and January: Cold but not frigid calls for warm sandstone favoring The Tennessee Wall, Tallulah Gorge, and Steele (AL).

February: Only the warmest sandstone and granite at lower elevations....The Tennessee Wall, Stone Mountain (NC), others.

March through May: The rainy season...but good temps mean one has got to be out and about, preferrably under roofs...for this, you can climb some of our steep sport routes or, I prefer to head to either The Tennessee Wall or Whitesides and chase dry rock.

---- This is a good time to escape the precipitation and get on an airplane to the desert or someplace dry. The Southern-Utah desert has been nice for this.

June, July, August: For these months, when the temperatures rarely dip below 85 degrees in the TAG and low elevation NC crags, swim-friendly sandstone and granite walls at higher elevations are the place where I spend my time....a couple spots in extreme NE AL and anything in the Highlands/Cashiers/Sapphire (NC) areas to include Whitesides, Laurel Knob, and the Panthertown Valley....I hear the Blue Ridge and parts of Linville are nice as well.

---- This is a good time to escape the heat and get on an airplane to a high altitude destination.

September, October, and November: Prime climbing/roadtripping/camping season in the South....My Fall almost always commences with a trip to Laurel Knob for the long Labor Day weeekend with copius amounts of climbing all over the SE for the remainder of the cool temps, changing colors, and minimla rain. I love the TAG and Western NC backocuntry in the Fall.

So, yeah...for a very SE-centric look at my ideal year, there you have it.
Destinations are all within 6-7 hours driving distance of home, most much closer.

Heavy foot, will travel.

I will stick to places I've been - there may be better:
Mar - Red Rocks or J Tree
Apr - Red Rocks or J Tree
May - Bishop
June,July - Yosemite - (I know the walls are hot, but its not crowded).
Aug - High Sierra. Wouldn't miss it.
Sep, Oct - Its nice anywhere, West or East. Boulder or the Gunks, perhaps? West Virginia?
Nov - Red Rocks or Southeast
Dec/Jan/Feb - I'm old and need time to rest, Florida or Texas- no climbing

Next year - the same (only different).

I like this one. Interestingly, no one included T-Wall. I went last year in late November and it blew my mind. I've climbed in a lot of places and T-Wall is definitely world-class. Hard to beat for late fall climbing.

T-Wall and surrounding areas are stellar. Sick trail running (especially on the Cumberland Plateau) and swimming in blue holes all around Chattanooga (Soddy Daisy, etc.) as well. River Inn Catfish House just down from the T-Wall (on the Tennessee River) is as good as catfish gets. Plus Shuford's BBQ at the base of Signal Mountain has a $2-$3 (or it did every time I went there) pulled pork/pulled chicken sandwich.

I mentioned the TWall....
I can wax poetic for hours about the glorious nature of Chattanooga in the Fall to include reasons why BBQ and beer taste better, the aesthetic qualities of the leaves against the sandstone or river banks or backcountry asphalt, what the 45 degree air feels like when perched high on sunbaked TAG sandstone wearing not more than your favorite pair of shorts....etc, etc, etc.
If you can miss the hunt dates, that is.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
