I'm gong to make a movie trailer next time I go out, haha! I'm kind of clueless as to why I saw any ice axes at all in that clip. I didn't see anything but rock climbing but it does make a pretty easy way to kill someone so I guess I can see why it was included in the clip. Sick Movie!!

Lol without the ice axes, they can't make a fight scene in this movie! I guess the director may think, ok we just add the axes in to make the action scenes :)

I was going to post on that, too. I thougt it was supposed to be the belayer catching her, though… what if we go with simul-toprope?

yeah I'd rely on that guy catching me a whole lot more than that skinny string I'm tied into....

What about carabiners as brass knuckles? That would be wicked. My only hope from preview is that they all die somehow....just a peaceful mountain sky in the credits.

According to IMDb, this was a low-budget movie. No expensive ice tools. They were supposed to shoot in Alaska, but had to switch to Austin, TX. Adapting the script to the new locale would have taken time and money. On the positive side, they don't seem to be carrying nitroglycerin in their chalk bags. (Maybe it's on the negative side.)
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
