Cool, I sent this link to Josh Olson, he's interested in starting guiding. EB, how does this differ from the AMGA TR thing?

Rhoads, so you know the AMGA doesn't have their TRSM program anymore. It's either SPI or Climbing Wall Instructor.

I'm getting permission from my wife. I end up leader for a lot of informal groups. I should probably sharpen up and get some credentials.

Nick,
First off thanks for visiting all the obsure classics and posting pics and info; thats a lot of time and effort.
The PCIA and AMGA differ in a few different areas. The history of PCIA comes from Jon Thierney and Todd Vogel who started the AMGA TR Site manager program. PCIA builds more on teaching climbing (as well as client management), developing lesson plans, progressions, etc. Essentially if you want to guide folks up objectives(routes, peaks, etc) you would get on the AMGA track. If you are working at a university outdoor program, teaching groups, or teaching beginning climbers to become self sufficient the PCIA may be a better fit. I also think we have the best indoor training program as well. We will have courses at AORE this year for both. Check it out at pcia.us/newpro/
