Those crash pads on there look pretty thin...

Sad attempt to get a discount. It's kind of annoying when companies do these affilliate programs, then you get all these spam links.

Is anyone else beyond tired of these Clymb posts? I sure am...almost more than the people who shamelessly post "invites" without explaining what they get if someone who uses the invite buys something.

Not to mention once somebody posts it on mountainproject all the good shit sells out in five minutes.

For a website called the clymb they sure don't sell a lot of climbing related products. 90% of their sales are stupid shoes, clothes or sunglasses.

i agree. i signed up awhile ago and still have yet to purchase something. overall a shitty website.

Those ClimbX shoes sure look a lot like some Mad Rocks I've seen.

ClimbX Redpoint = Mad Rock Flash?

Yeah. Long story short, mad rock has issued a cease and desist letter to climb x.

Yeah, I read about what happened. Shame that Climbing Magazine (or maybe it was Urban Climber) was recommended the Climb X Rock Master in their Gear Guide this year. Wonder what the Mad Rock equivalent is?

Just thought I'd point at that you can buy the 5.10 Projects from Backcountry.com for the same price right now (once you add shipping and/or tax). I wouldn't be surprised if that is where The Clymb is getting them from. They are both part of the same company, after all.

Hey guys,

Nina from The Clymb here; hope you don't mind me jumping in. We're kind of taking a beating in here and that's okay. :-) We like to hear the good and the bad feedback. It's how we improve the things we're doing right and fix what isn't working.

We carry all kinds of outdoor gear and apparel, not just for climbers. We're always working hard to partner with the brands our members want so if you have suggestions on items you'd like to see, feel free to share them. We always have someone available via our Facebook page, Twitter (@TheClymb) or the blog. (That's me.)

When people post invite links, it's most likely in response to a special we sometimes run with our referral program; you get money just for joining. Sorry if they clog up your forums or are posted without any information on what's in it for you.

And we always, always get our products directly from the brand. If we're running an event and you find the item for less elsewhere, feel free to hit me up via email or reach out via the other avenues mentioned above, before you buy.

Again, we appreciate all feedback. Thanks for letting me pop in. Let me know if I can clear anything else up.

Nina
