i climb with both the solutions and jet7's and you cant go rong with either. i have a relaively skinnier foot so the jet7 fits me better. i love both and you can go wrong. i tend to use the jet7 more often then not do to the fact i think it sticks better

I would recommend the la sportive katanas for all-around technical bouldering. The womens katanas are even better if you have narrow feet and a have a pointy as fuck toe, which is perfect for technical and slab problems. The solutions are good for gym and very steep climbing with lots of hooks, but extremely shitty for vertical, to less than vertical technical problems, due to their extreme downturn. I think they are extremely overrated for an all-around bouldering shoe, and have some flaws in their design, such as the heel cup.

Another shoe that I fell in love with lately is the five ten arrowhead. They are pretty aggressive, which helps with steeper problems, but they also stick to the shittiest of face holds, I would highly recommend these badboys (if they fit your feet, of course).

It all comes down to what type of bouldering you are doing; technical face problems, or steep power problems. I don't climb in gyms so I don't know what to tell you about that one. Fit is the most important thing, though. If it doesn't fit your foot like a glove, it will not be a good bouldering shoe.

I really like my scarpa vapor v's, good mix of comfort and performance. I also have some Velcro Anasazis that are really good but also really tight, I can't wear them for very long periods of time

This year, I bought three shoes all good for hard bouldering. And with my last shoes.
There is my opinion
EVOLV PONTAS: My old shoes. Good for mid-hard sport climbing, for bouldering, I don't like it very much.

NEW THREE
EVOLV SHAMAN: Very good, designed like solution, very comfortable, very good for hard bouldering. It is cheaper than solution.
La Sportiva Solution: If I can only choose one for bouldering, this is my choice.
Five Ten Dragon: This one is also good, but for me, my right foot is little bigger than my left, but my pair shoes right is maybe 5mm less than the left one. So made my right foot pain... I wear it for about 3 month, now is much better.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
