Description

HAFH is a nice piece of river polished sandstone on the North Fork Matilija. Rarely visited, HAFH is not a destination boulder but certinally worth a stop for the moderate grade climber(all the routes are quite hard)on their way up or down the 33. Partially in the shade and sitting right on the creek.

Getting There

Take highway 33 north just over 5 miles from the city of Ojai. Just before the old Wheeler Hotsprings Resort, is a bridge that crosses the Matilija. Park just before this bridge and head downhill to the creek, the boulder is obvious. Mind the poison oak on the way down.
