where can i find a full trad rack?
|

Thank you |

check your PM for a coupon I sent you on stoppers. |

c4s (small sizes) and c3s are $45 a piece at alssports.com right now. Prob the best deal you will ever find from a retailer. |

You could just buy it all individually but at the same time. It's not like it makes a big difference over the internet. I bet a quick look at Spadout can get you a cheaper price than any of those sets. |

For Camalots, check out RockCreek.com. Great prices, free Neutrino carabiner and free shipping. When I last added to my rack 5 or 6 months ago, this was the best deal that I could find (when taking the free carabiner into account). There might be better deals out there, but a cursory search a few minutes ago didn't turn up anything that beat RockCreek. |

So im just getting into trad. what would be some good pieces to start with? |

a.brown wrote:So im just getting into trad. what would be some good pieces to start with? There have been many threads on this site that have discussed this ad nauseum. Try clicking "advanced search" and searching "beginner trad rack" in the Forums. That should get you started... |

Anthony ayala wrote:mountaingear.com has some. The BD new trad leader package isn't worth it. You can buy everything on it for much less total if you shop around, plus you end up getting a bunch of stuff you don't need, and you still need to add more to it (what good are the slings/cams/buts without carabiners?) Personally, I wouldn't bother with the gear sling... mine just sits in my closet. I would rather have double cams in the 0.5-1 or 2 range rather than the #4 and the hexes unless you are specifically going to be climbing wide cracks, etc. What you need totally depends on where you are going to climb, and there are lots of threads for different areas. |

Edit: Ahhh... Free shipping on sales over $49. Lol, my #1 with neutrino is $48.95. What can I buy that is $.05... |
