Hey Kuchenski, why don't you tell us about your previous wall experience...I assume you have some, I mean you were spraying wall advice on the rc.n00b.

You've got all that gear, but what have you actually done?

Some props to 20 kN. If you've done the Nose, you're a good solid climber.

My advice, just show up in the Valley and you'll find someone to climb with via the bulletin board, etc. I wish I had done that more in the past. I'd probably have alot more under my belt. It's certainly a bigger case of caveat emptor vs. showing up with someone whose track record you know but you might get lucky. There are people up there all season who just do wall after wall and burn thru partners (in a good way).

Edit: wait, if you've done the Nose, why were you going up to do it again? Hope on something new, or is that the new game plan?

20kN totally flaked on me last week. Said he would meet me in the valley, last I heard he "was going to be a little late". He convinced me to not bring my rope or rack, since he had all the gear we needed. Thanks a lot. No apology, no explanation, nothing, like I was just some worthless robot deserving no respect. If that is how he treats potential climbing partners, I would hate to know how he treats everyone else.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
