And you can have moosejaw.com match it and get another 5% back in rewards (more if you have high altitude status and even more if the cam is over $100) Additionally you probably wont be paying sales tax with moosejaw. Finally you can get another 6% cash back with fatwallet through moosejaw vs 3% for REI.

Why would I go to moosejaw for %5 "rewards" when REI will give me straight 10% cash back... although Id have to wait for dividend time to come around.

In some states (like CA) sales tax is almost 10%. Also, sale and clearance items don't count towards the 10% dividend if I remember correctly.

If you have the REI credit card you get an additional 5% back, including sale items. Correct, no dividend on sale items.

bentgate.com has most of the C4s at 20% off right now, free shipping on orders over $50 and if you're outside of Colorado, no sales tax! Probably comes out around the same to the REI savings when you compute sales tax and the REI dividend, just thought I'd give the heads up. If you need to order something REI doesn't carry, bentgate seems to have a pretty wide selection too (and much of it also on sale). And no, I don't work for bentgate... I'm just ridiculously stoked that I was able to order my cams a month early due to sale savings. = ]

I have an REI giftcard from the return of a tent that I am considering putting in the FS section. If I sell it for 10% under the value, someone waiting for this cam sale could really save some money. I have no idea if this can be done. If anyone knows the REI polcies, and thinks this is doable, I'll post it in there later today.

Gift cards are like cash - someone should take you up on the deal.

and the 10% rei dividend is really only 8% unless you use cash. But like others said it doesnt apply to sale items unless you have the credit card and you have to pay sales tax unless you live in a state with no REI.
