Bump. I'm interested in this as well.

I saw a guy out on the ice with the tlt 5 mountains and although they were relatively new to him, he enjoyed them. I'm more curious about their performance in mixed terrain. I'd be worried about breaking buckles and what not.

FWIW I have a number of feelers out and getting back some good info. Rave reviews from the skiers. Few (like one) that climb in them have commented past the two SLC blogs.

Wild Snow blog has a 30 page thread on them for skiing and the durability issues. A number of good comments from one of the Dynfit designers there as well.

I've heard nothing but good from friends who use them - with the exception of a difficult fit. For the light weight - the concensus seems to be that no other boot drives big skis so well. A few folks I know have sworn by them as their "Quiver of One" boot, while others still require heavier and lighter boots for various pursuits.

I have a pair, pretty stoked on them. I can ski as hard as I can(not very hard) on them and be happy. I have yet to climb ice on them, I have used them for some approaches in Hyalite but have always just thrown my ice boots in my pack. Bought them a size too small tough...

Check out PLUM bindings from the Chamonix area. Also check out Lou Dawson's review of them on wildsnow.com.

These are a major improvement over Dynafit bindings but just as simple, lightweight and less expensive.

Jack,

Care to share where you are finding them for less than dynafits? $625 seems to be the going price. Thanks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
