Places to stay in Chatt?

Hey, I am planning a two to three week trip to Chattanooga in May. I will be doing the trip itself alone, but will probably have friends meeting me on the weekends. I'm trying to find a cheap and realistic place to stay. Crashpad isn't open yet unfortunately, so that's a no-go. I'm not opposed to camping, but would prefer a small cabin or an arrangement like that, simply in regards to cooking my food. If anybody has any suggestions please let me know. Also, I will hopefully be bouldering at Stone Fort the whole time (yes, I know it will be hot...I'll make it work ;)), so if anybody wants to meet me out there, let me know. :)

Thanks!

I had good luck using homeaway.com to find a great cabin last summer in NH for a base camp in the Whites.

interesting question: where to stay for an extended period of time without spending $100s/day (I assume). I wonder how I'd do it
just thinking aloud...
- Weekly motels (Done this, OK in the right place, most have kitchenettes);
- vrbo.com (and others, pricey but maybe some arrangement could be found with the owner);
- couchsurfing.org (and others, never done this, sounds pretty cool);
These two may not leave much time for climbing:
- CSA in exchange for work and in May there'll be plenty. I have no idea if the people who run the CSA would do this. (William Island Farm (williamsislandfarm.blogspot.com) is pretty unusual.
- similarly wwoofusa.org/Farms?LOC=TN

Enjoy your trip.

I liked camping up at Pot Point above T-wall. Ok camping with boulders within a 5 minute hike. Although if your plan is to plunder the treasures at LRC everyday, then its a good 30+ minute drive back and forth...but then again, if you're staying in Chatty, then you're expecting a 20-30 minute drive everyday any way. Last I heard, you can also camp in the North Chicamauga Pocket Wilderness at the bottom of the hill from LRC. Don't know if its backcountry rules for camping or if its only allowed at designated sites...you can search for it on the web and find some better info. Make sure to hit LRC as early in the morning as you can for best sending conditions...when the temp gets too much to handle, hop in the North Chicamauga to cool off.

Hey there! My boyfriend and I came to Chatt for climbing during March and April - We found a great house in Red Bank and the landlord was really cool; I can give him your info if you'd like. I sent you a message with my email address.

Does anyone have anything else to add? I'm heading down to Chattanooga with a few friends in just a couple weeks. Unfortunately, the Crash Pad can't hold the 5 or 6 of us.

I'm particularly interested in places near Foster Falls. Thanks
