NO LONGER the Best Shorts EVER!!!

Edit: I can no longer claim this is the best shorts ever.  They have changed the sizing and cuts.  It now runs way bigger.  In order to fit my waist, I have to get XS, but then the length is way short, barely longer than a pair of boxer.  Why fix something when it's not broken?  Just another proof that nothing good lasts forever.

Prana Mojo Shorts. They are by far the best I have ever had for climbing or just about anything! Found this site for sale price of $25 and buy 2 pairs to receive free shipping. http://www.everestgear.com/pranamojoshort1.html

Hard to imagine paying $40 for shorts. Yet I have four pairs. I hope I didn't pay full price for them.

How do these fit, sizewise. Ive seen two different sizing charts that are radically different (one says 30" waist is a size Small, other says small is 27")

I have big legs 38" jean size
bought a XL and they fit in the waste but not in the legs.

I think generally they run small. I am 30" waist, but M fits me just fine, and I like the slightly longer length.

Here is Prana Size Guide.

Damn - about to order some thanks to you guys.
I'm a 34" waist - will the L be good? Reviews say they run small...

I secretly wanted these things for like 2 years but held out due to not wanting to spend $40 on shorts / be one of those guys who has to have "climbing" clothing.. visited Montana over the summer and while gawking my way around Northern Lights (awesome gear store in Bozeman) I stopped to check 'em out. The lady working mentioned that she had given each of her sons several pairs, which in turn elicited a random shopper to praise his several pairs, drawing yet another bystander into the chorus of praise. My mom offering to make them my birthday present broke the camels back and 9 months of climbing, backpacking, cycling, swimming, sleeping, and general bumming later they're only a cigarette hole worse for the wear.

Damn fine shorts. I wear a "large 34" (some 34s are small on me but I'm too scared to buy 36s) and the large size fits perfect.

Just ordered size L for $19.96.

Now that I got mine, here's coupons for STP:

20% off and free shipping: HTG5498V (I think it should have 2 uses left)

30% off but pay for shipping: EB032911A

Oh, and they've got some Edelrid draws you can get for $7-8 depending on coupon

sierratradingpost.com/p/,36…

Cheaper than 'biners alone! I've got plenty from previous sales, but its always hard to not add more.

I've been climbing in these shorts for a few years now and I love them. I normally buy size 32 waist pants but I'm pretty skinny so I got these in a size small because I didn't want them to be baggy. They fit pretty snug in the waist but its not uncomfortable. They have held up great with no wear and tear and I also swim in them pretty often because they are comfortable and dry really fast. I might get another pair or two with this sale!

I'm looking forward to these with all of the positive reviews. My last pair of climbing shorts weren't quite what I was looking for:

I ordered a pair of prana propel 'long shorts' from 6pm.com for $17 a while back. They are LONG - a cross between shorts and man-pris. Or cholo style with some high white socks.

FYI more STP coupons here fatwallet.com/forums/hot-de… for when mine posted get used up.

Ok, just received the pair I ordered because of the hype on this thread. Every bit as good as ya'll made em out to be. Very pleased. About to order two more pair.

BTW, a small was perfect for 30" waist. At 31" you'll probably want to go to Med. For 28"-30", SM is where it's at.

Maybe I've been drinking the bubble kool-aid too long but the best pair of climbing shorts I've ever owned are the Verve Astrakhan shorts.

And I have owned several pairs of various Prana shorts including the mojos, the Astrakhans are still more comfy.
My 2 cents worth,
BA

They should be comfy like a pillow and fix me cocktails and do the laundry too at $56 a pair.

Climbed in a pair of these in the 80's. On a hot, sunny day at Seneca Rocks in July they were mighty comfy, no surprise I have a low sperm count these days. cgi.ebay.com/RARE-BLUE-vtg-…

$14.27 plus shipping for sizes L-XXL (use coupon code below if the link doesn't price right)

Also of note, with that same coupon code HHX0735Z Zion shorts for $20.87 XL only and XL only in Zion pants for $24.72
Plus search for whatever else you want, scroll down the left hand side and select 'your coupon' to see whatever else is on sale with that same extra discount (all prana stuff in limited sizes for one, backpacks etc too)

That coupon is good for two more uses. This one, HHK5214Z, is 30% and $2.50 shipping, good for three uses. I snagged another pair of the Mojos as I needed some new cheap shorts for running when my other pair is in the laundry basket, can't beat them for the price.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
