One 8mm red static trail rope and one 10.2mm army green dynamic lead rope left at the second to last (9th) rappel of the technical slot, Behinin Canyon in Zion. Ropes are threaded, but I was unable to pull ropes and unable to ascend due to the waterfall.

you should post this on bogley.com too. Lot of canyon guys over there.

so you must have had more ropes to finish the route without retrieving the stuck ropes?

Thanks for the bogley.com idea, Austin. And, no to Jersey.... the Park Service responded to a 911 call with a rope gun (literally), and got 2 ropes to us for the final rappel.

Glad you made it out safely, sounds like a tricky situation. I'd love to hear more if you feel like writing, especially about the ropegun!
