You know what I mean! REI wasn't squeezed in between Chilis Restaraunt and WholeFoods at the time.

Well, I don't have any from my early teens, but I have a few from college. n One specifically scanned in when Hank last mentioned 'mandukes,' that was from 1991. A true fashion disaster, but not old enough to be cool like the ones in hob-naied boots:

Tony Bubb on the TR problem "Devine Intervention (12c)" in Springfield Gorge, OH. These shorts are in competion with Hank's "Mandukes" for the fasion disaster award. Photo by Casey Rhodes ~ 1991.
And 1992- same place, since I actually lead something in this one:
Tony leads the OW roof of 'Orangahang, (5.11c)' in Springfield Gorge, OH. Mike Heffner Belays. Photo by Mindy Huddleston, ~1994.
And one from good Ole' Devil's Lake at around the same time, dig the neon green surfer shorts:
Last Gasp, on Darcy's Buttress at Devil's Lake. Correctly ID'd by Jay Knower upon request. THanks!
And here is my earliest Bouldering picture:
Nick W. Eric P. and Tony B. climb on the Purdue Campus. Photo taken by a cop, 1992. No joke.

I have some from the 80's, including one rockin' the maroon spandex, but I'd need a standard scanner for that and all I have is a slide-scanner.

Rainy day in the Gunks. Self-timed shot on the ledge after doing the first pitch of Belly Roll. Umbrella was key belay gear that day. Still have those EBs all curled up into two little balls.

Getting ready for the Salathe Wall that summer.

Dig those shoes! RD's for those of you too young to remember.

And then there's all that hair!

If we edit the title of this thread, we could name it:
"Remember when I was skinny?"
I'm carrying around 15 I didn't have back then, and if I get these highschool photos scanned, that was 60 lbs ago!

The earliest photo I have of myself climbing (Redgarden Wall 1967) is curently buried in the hard drive of a dead computer so...how about a shot of Ed Leeper's mailbox?

So that's where my mail ended up when purchasing early Leeper Z' pitons and chocks back in the 70's.

Ed Leeper passed this morning at 7 after a long battle with multi-stage dementia.  I didn't really develop a rapport with him since I only knew him after he developed dementia and he didn't really want to talk about climbing.  My wife was his MPA and was a great comfort to him in his last days.  Can anyone that knew him  help with his eulogy?  Probably will not be a funeral because of the Covid19.  Thank You!           (I couldn't find the button to start a new topic.)

Came across this one recently. Somewhere around Glenwood Springs circa 95. 7 years old.

Mid 90's, North Table Mountain, I think. And surprisingly, I was wearing a helmet while sport climbing!
