Driving from CA to Eagle

Two weeks from today, I'll be driving from the central coast of CA to Eagle, CO. I'm wondering what the climbing conditions are like this time of year in Colorado, as close to Eagle as possible (lots of snow on the ground and rock?). I'm looking for some fun single pitch sport and TR routes in the 5.8-5.11b range. Using the climb finder, I've found some stuff in Glenwood Springs that looks like it fits the bill, but I'm hoping the locals might have some better beta. Thanks a bunch.

Ryan, Puoux (20 min), Rifle (1 hour), Boulder (2 hours). The Puoux is right on I-70, good quick access and nice rock, but....it's right on I-70. It's worth the additional 45 min. or so to go to Rifle. You could be climbing in the sun in shorts and a T-shirt that time of year, or it could be snowing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
