I did what was probably the FA of the slot on the very left edge of this picture with John Rosholt in '77 or '78. It was pretty grungy at the top. Is this a current route? Know the rating? I remember most of the difficulty being cleaning out the spider webs, the rat's nest of kindling, and the crumbly, skin-tearing nature of the rock.

Cool, Man...I've looked at that crack a bunch but never done it, and I never heard of anyone doing it in recent times...I spent a bunch of time there bolting and working the routes and that slot on the left is frequently wet, but it does dry up in the summer. That's cool you did it with Rosholt, he seems like he was quite the character. Also cool to hear from you and Phil and the climbing you did at Hartmans back in the day.
Thanks, it seems like you and Will and the guys are keeping the dream alive and gettin' after it. As I recall Rosholt put in 2 maybe 3 pieces, and there was some arm-barring, gastoning, and dynamic lunging involved.

There's plenty of folks gettin' after it, and keeping the dream alive. Will and I are probably just the ones geekin' out and posting stuff up on MP :) It is fun though. I actually don't even live in Gunny anymore, but I visited last weekend and took some photos to post up.
