Accomodations for Ice Fest

A friend and I have made a last minute decision to attend the Ice Fest this weekend in North Conway. We are planning to drive from Vermont Saturday morning and leave Saturday night, driving 3 hours each way. We would like to stay Saturday night, but really can't afford a hotel room. Does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap place to stay? We could probably swing something under $50, but cheaper is better.

Thanks in advance

I've stayed in Twin Mountain for around $50 in the past. You won't find ANYTHING that cheap in North Conway...$75 would be a good deal.

There is a hostel in Conway that is on the order of $20-something a night per person if they aren't full up by now. I've stayed there, and the option of making breakfast instead of going to a restaurant can save time and money.

Tim,

Try asking on ne ice
It seems Anne is the publicist for the Ice Fest and has been posting info in the "Events" section, if you want to make your case with a local.
