Yeah, I doubt it will come in this well this year. Though the upcoming cold snap could do some good. A friend of mine has noted that when the Falls itself freezes, this adjacent wall does not come in as strong and from the pictures I've seen, the Falls is coming in and this is not. The theory stands.
I was there today and climbed the falls and two wimpy smears of ice to the right. There was 0 water flow to the right of the falls, so unlikely it will come in well this year.
Don't bother Woodchuck, nice for laps but not too interesting. Go to Wyalusing for some legit ice. However, I used to do a "Round Robin" every year of Stephens, Cox Hollow and Lone Rock for a solid day of ice.
